Muppet Labs: Where the Future Is Being Made Today

Written by: admin

Brace yourselves, moviephiles, for the return of some major stars to the big screen next week. That’s right, it’s time to play the music. It’s time to light the lights. It’s time to meet the Muppets on … The Muppets movie! (You try rewriting the theme song to make that work. Not easy.)

You know what this means, don’t you? Along with Kermit, Miss Piggy, Animal, Gonzo, and others, the Muppets’ resident scientists, Dr. Bunsen Honeydew and Beaker, are back! Rumor has it, Dr. Honeydew and Beaker were employed at CERN  for a spell but are now safely (well, maybe not for Beaker) back with the Muppets. In honor of Dr. Honeydew, Beaker, and Muppet scientists everywhere, we’re featuring a collection of Dr. Honeydew’s best inventions (each one, tested by Beaker)! Enjoy!

Dr. Bunsen Honeydew’s 10 Greatest Inventions

1. Gorilla Detector

Finally, a fool-proof way to know when a gorilla is around.

2. Electric Nose Warmer

How many times have you been outdoors on a winter day and had a cold nose? Use the power of electricity to warm (er, cook) your nose.

3. Edible Paperclips

Tasty, and who needs a nose?

4. Nuclear Shaver

Make sure you wear the lead hat to avoid nuclear fallout.

5. Exploding Clothes

Exploding hats, earmuffs, and ties – the perfect complement to any outfit.

6. Banana Sharpener

Organize your bananas with the handy-dandy Banana Sharpener.

7. Magnetic Carrots

The only problem is their tendency to attract steel rabbits.

8. Alchemy Machine

A machine that turns gold into cottage cheese. (“Low in cholesterol, high in vitamins!”)

9. Copying Machine

What is better than one Beaker? Multiple Beakers!

10. Bunsonium

This mysterious liquid seems to have only one purpose: deflating Beaker’s head.
