Events & Programs
The simple act of an introduction can be tremendously powerful. The Exchange’s stage provides us with a spotlight that introduces ideas and people to storytellers. Our events also create the basis for ongoing interactions in the form of our consults. They inform and inspire by showcasing a diverse group of STEM speakers.
Recent Events
The Science & Entertainment Exchange maintains an active event calendar, primarily in Los Angeles but also in New York City. Attendance is by invitation-only. You can sometimes find us sponsoring panels or workshops at film festivals.
The Exchange also hosts high-level weekend retreats for filmmakers and scientists. Most of them are for screenwriters who work on scripted film or television projects; we've also done them for directors and producers. We also try and schedule an annual documentary filmmakers retreat. In each case, these gatherings are small and carefully curated to foster creative collaboration, thoughtful inquiry, open dialogue and a lively exchange of ideas and information. Also: Fun. The retreats are the best combination of truly productive and genuinely enjoyable.

Past Events
The Exchange has produced more than 400 events over 15 years. These range from intimate salons and tours to large venue talks and celebrations.
